Thank GOD It's Friday!
Score! Today you got paid and you needed it a week ago, right? I know I’ve been there more than once! We work all day, every day and then the end of the week comes, but payday is not until next week. You have had a stressful week and you deserve a night out! You paid most of your bills last week and you are hoping to get by this next week on the money you have. That doesn’t stop you from convincing yourself you need this “night out!”
You get home to do your daily routine: check the mail, call your parents to let them know you’re still alive, feed the dog and check your Facebook to see what is going on. You see a bill from Edison, your electric bill and on the front is states, “Action required Within 24 Hours”, and you toss it on the pile of bills already sitting on your coffee table. You decide to feed “punky”, your dog and call your parents at the same time, multi-tasking! You talk with your mom first, who goes on for twenty minutes about the rude girl at the grocery store. I tell her she can order her groceries on-line and can have them deliver them. I spend another twenty minutes trying to navigate her to her local grocery store, only to find out she didn’t pay her internet bill. I go on to tell her there is a telephone number on her bill that she can call and pay it over the phone and they will turn the internet back on. She said she would call me back. I decide now would be a good time to take “punky” for a walk to do his doggie-poo. After twenty or so minutes, and he sniffed every blade of grass, he finally does his business. I get back to the house and use the bathroom myself. An hour later, I call my mom back and she says she is still on hold. Aye, yi, yi! I have her give me her account information and credit card information and tell her I will call them for her. Thirty minutes later, I finally paid her internet bill and call her back and I explained her service will be back on within thirty minutes. I was going to shower and give her a call back. Feeling my stomach starting to rumble, I call my favorite pizza joint, order my specialty pizza and head to shower. By the time I finished cleaning up, still looking forward to the night out, I check my Facebook page. I see one of my buddies is throwing a “Back to the 80’s” party. I R.S.V.P., and the doorbell chimed, great, I’m hungry!PIZZA

"80's Party..Here I come!
I pay for the pizza and call my mom back, setting the pizza on the kitchen counter. She said the internet is back on and can I help her find her grocery store. After thirty minutes of frustration, I ask her to put dad on the phone. Dad has a little bit computer savvy and I hoped I had better luck with him. Twenty minutes later, dad bookmarked the page and explained to mom how to get there. (Thank God!) So, I talked to dad another thirty minutes, listening to him tell me about a noise his car is making, thump, clang, bang and then thump again. Explaining it was dark outside, I wouldn't be able to see anything even if I came over right now, I would stop by tomorrow morning and take a look. I bought a movie the other day, heard it was funny, so I put it on and heated up my pizza; it got cold waiting for me! I grabbed a beer(last one in the bare refrigerator), a plateful, about five pieces' of pizza and sat down to eat. Finally I was going to eat and then I can head out to the “80's Party”! It was my turn to spoil myself!
My neck was sore as I stretched, peeking through my eyelids at daylight beaming on me. Slowly, I open my eyes and look around and realized I fell asleep! What! I think back a minute, I remember I got stuffed with pizza and wanted to finish the movie before I headed out, it was real funny! Closing my eyes, just for a minute, I must have fallen asleep then. Mad at myself, I decided I would try it again tonight! In the meantime, “punky” needed to go for a walk and I had to head over to my parents and help my dad with his car. I checked out my Facebook page and saw a picture from the “80’s” party and it looked like a blast! What a loser I am!
80's PARTY

Back in the 80's we had 60's parties and watched 60's based movies. Now I know how it feels to look back and say, "Dang did we look silly".
