It's Bikini Time!
I am NOT ready! I have been storing “nuts” all winter and this weather has been so up and down, I am not sure when winter is over and summer begins. Now I see women in shorts, tank tops and bikini’s. I AM NOT READY! I normally start in March, my “losing the winter weight” by paying attention to what I eat, daily exercise and drinking lots of water. Instead, I am still on the “See Food” eating plan. Oh yea, and desserts!
The other day, I was out with my family, and it was extremely hot! Yes, I did have shorts on, but was reluctant to wear them. There were other women, in tank tops, bikini’s or summer dresses. I felt overdressed but insecure to wear what they had on, some women are not afraid to be seen. Although I am Hispanic, my skin is fair, and I did not put on sunscreen. Yea you guessed it, I was a little sun burnt! This is a “heads-up”, summer is here and although you are already late to have the “bikini body”, it’s still not too late to start; only you will have to push it up to “double time.” Here’s what I am going to do every day, except week-end: Number One; Go to bed early. I am a late owl and sometimes I stay up until two or three in the morning. So now I can get up by eight, I had mentioned nine to my husband and he laughed at me. I asked,” What’s wrong with that?” He replied, “Your morning is already passing you by.” Ugh! So I changed it to be up by eight and not a second earlier! Number two; we go directly to do our work-out, starting with a two mile brisk walk and finish off with stretching, abs and gluts. Afterwards, we eat something light and a cup of coffee. After showering, we have prayer time and depending on our discussion, this could last for an hour or two. We move on to the rest of our day: meetings, planning, and job hunting. This is a full time job!Bikini Body!
Summer is Here!
After all that, I try to fit in a little bit more exercise, remember we are doing "Double time", by doing “floor work.” I want the body Angelina Jolie has as "Lara Croft!" I lay my towel down on the living room floor, stretch out and began breathing deeply. Inhale in…Inhale out, doing this four to five times, or until I fall asleep…ha,ha,ha, that’s right! Nap time! When I awake, I see the smile on my husband’s face and he says, “You knew that you was going to fall asleep.” I try denying, but giggle because he is right. He normally is.
You figured it out, I will probably have to wear a one-piece bathing suit, although not what I had in mind, it will do. I will keep working at it though, one thing you may or may not know about me is, “I NEVER GIVE UP!” I wonder…did you prepare for the summer? You have your bikini body, your flip- flops and don’t forget your sunscreen. Enjoy your upcoming summer, have plenty of bbq’s and remember to invite me!
